At Kirkleatham, we give you the time you need, a calm setting, and a team who quietly check every detail is in place, so you can say goodbye in your own way.
Most families work with a funeral director. Others with volunteers from their place of worship.
We stay in close contact with those supporting you at every point – confirming timings, preparing the space, and supporting you on the day itself.
A quiet space with space to gather
Kirkleatham has just one Ceremony Hall – so every service is private. It seats 94 people, with sofas in the front rows for those who want to sit close.
If you expect larger numbers, we can relay the service to a screen in our outdoor seating area. Our team is always on hand to help guests feel comfortable.
The current website uses ‘chapel’, which feels like it excludes people from faiths other than Christianity. Suggest renaming to keep it in line with the other locations.
Time between every service
We allocate a full hour for every service. This allows time to arrive, greet others, hold the ceremony, and leave on your own terms.
There’s no crossover with other services. Kirkleatham Crematorium is quiet, calm, and focused on caring for one family at a time.
Technology and personal touches
You can personalise the service in many ways – music, lighting, imagery, readings or live tributes.
Our Obitus system supports visual tributes, livestreaming, and video recording. You can choose music from the Obitus library or bring something personal.
Kirkleatham also has its own organ – a traditional choice that many families value for hymns or reflective pieces.
Lighting and projected images can be adjusted to suit your wishes; we check every detail in advance.
Before and after the service
You’re welcome to visit us beforehand and ask questions about anything you like: access, timings, or simply knowing to expect.
After the funeral, you may want to return to the gardens or talk to us about memorial options. Our team is here and ready to help.
