Memorials & Gardens
A quiet place to return to and reflect
Our grounds offer open space, peaceful views and a choice of memorial options. Some families visit often. Others come back weeks or months after the service. There’s no right way, no wrong way. We’re here whenever you feel ready.
Memorial Options
There are many ways to create a lasting tribute. Some are quietly traditional. Others feel more personal. We can help you find the right one for you.
Options include:
- A plaque in our memorial gardens
- Avenue Trees, Rose Bushes
- Memorial Bird Baths
- Keepsake items such as jewellery, urns or glassware
- Personal artwork to keep at home
We’re happy to walk you through the options, either in person or by message. Many families now prefer to start the conversation by email or WhatsApp.
Scattering Ashes
Ashes can be scattered within the gardens at Kirkleatham, at no extra cost. You’re welcome to be present – or ask us to carry it out on your behalf.
Some people keep the ashes while they decide what to do, that’s fine too. We can talk you through your options when the time feels right.
The grounds at Kirkleatham
Our gardens are calm and natural – open hedgerows, quiet paths, and views out towards the hills. You may notice wildlife here: ducks, hares, and the occasional kestrel.
There are no headstones in the natural burial area – just wildflowers, and a space left as undisturbed as possible. Toilets and facilities are close by and clearly signposted.
If you’d like to see the grounds before deciding on a memorial, you’re always welcome to visit.
